I’ll Try to Save My Father

A carriage more luxurious than I’ve ever seen, a mansion so big I couldn’t tell if it was a home or a castle. My seven-year-old life, spent cozily with my father in a rural village, changed forever when the immensely wealthy Count Travel finally tracked down his runaway second son.
My dad is a noble? I have a rich grandfather?!
My relatives didn’t give my father a warm welcome after his six-years absence; instead, they pierced him with cold, hostile glares. n that moment, strange scenes began to surface my mind like a torrential rainstorm.
Berry, you must be careful of the relatives. Travel is a den of beasts, all hunting for the position of family head.
Lady Berry! News has arrived… Young Master Reitan has been killed in action!
Seven years old, ten years old, sixteen years old… They were all me, yet they were memories I didn’t remember. And in every single one of those memories, my father met a meaningless, tragic death.

This… this can’t possibly be real.
“Head Butler, did you recently purchase a large amount of stock in an ink company that’s about to go bankrupt?” “That company would never go bust… Wait, how did you know I bought those stocks?”
Ack! That was exactly right, too!
If these memories are real, then this time, I will save my father no matter what.
But I can’t do this alone. I need an ally who will be my greatest pillar of support. Fortunately, there is a hidden gem that only I know of. Someone who looks like a mud-covered pebble right now, so no one thinks to keep their guard up.
“Crown Prince Theon Phil Boltman.”
My first plan is to make that young boy my ally.
